Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Everything Yuba-Sutter (“EYS,” “we,” “us”), operated by FitchCraft, collects, uses, and protects your information. We built EYS for the community, and we keep data collection to what the service actually needs.
1. Information you provide
- Account: your name and email; a password if you register with email (sign-in providers handle their own).
- Profile: an optional display name, photo, bio, and interest categories.
- Your community: the town/neighborhood you choose as your feed anchor. We do NOT ask for or store your home address, and we do NOT track your real-time GPS location.
- Business profiles (vendors): business name, type, contact info, hours, description, logo, products, and category fields you enter.
- Content you post: yard sale listings (including any address you voluntarily enter), reviews, deals, events, job posts, poll responses, comments, and community posts.
2. Information collected automatically
- Usage: pages visited, features used, and interactions (saves, votes, RSVPs, shares).
- Device: browser type, device type, and screen size.
- Timestamps of activity, and standard web server logs.
- Push notifications (if you opt in): your browser's push subscription endpoint and keys, used only to deliver notifications you asked for.
3. Information from third parties
To populate the local directory, we import publicly available business data (name, address, phone, hours, photos, ratings). This is public business information and is not tied to individual users.
4. How we use your information
- Create and manage your account
- Rank and display content by distance from the community you chose, and by your interests
- Enable community features (posting, saving, voting, reviews, crew connections, messaging)
- Send push notifications you have opted in to receive
- Improve the Platform through aggregate analytics — we do not sell individual tracking to anyone
- Communicate with you about your account or Platform updates
- Enforce our Terms and protect against fraud or abuse
5. How we share your information
We do not sell your data.
Visible to other users: your display name, photo, and bio; content you post (community posts, yard sales, reviews); your crew connections (to your crew); and your business profile if you are a vendor.
Service providers that help us run the Platform (for example: database, authentication, and storage; hosting; and maps) process data only to provide their service to us, under their own terms.
Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of the community.
6. Data storage & security
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit).
- Row-Level Security (RLS) policies ensure users can only access their own data.
- Authentication tokens expire automatically.
- Administrative access is restricted to authorized FitchCraft personnel.
Retention: active-account data is kept while your account is active; personal data is removed within 30 days of a deletion request; public business data on unclaimed listings is retained as public information; anonymized analytics may be retained for Platform improvement.
7. Your rights & choices
- Access & correction: view and update your profile and community anytime in your account.
- Account deletion: request deletion by contacting us — your profile and personal data are removed within 30 days; content you posted may be anonymized or removed; business profiles you managed revert to unclaimed.
- Push notifications: opt in or out at any time in your browser or account settings.
- Cookies & local storage: we use them to keep you signed in and remember preferences (like light/dark mode).
8. Children's privacy
The Platform is intended for users 18 and older. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will promptly delete their account and associated data.
