📍 Marysville Ring Levee
infrastructure · Marysville · est. 1875 · still here
A continuous levee system encircling the city of Marysville, protecting it from the Yuba and Feather Rivers. The ring levee system has been constructed, breached, rebuilt, and improved repeatedly since the 1850s. The current system, maintained by the Army Corps of Engineers and local agencies, is one of the most critical pieces of flood infrastructure in the Sacramento Valley.
