John Sutter's personal agricultural estate on the Feather River, established in 1841. Hock Farm was the first large-scale European agricultural operation in the Yuba-Sutter region, employing coerced Native labor. The farm was destroyed by arson in 1865. It is a California Historical Landmark (#346), though little physical evidence remains.
